Brand vs Brand: Bread

While there are a lot of gluten free bread choices out there, not all are created equal. They come in different shapes, sizes and textures. When there are so many choices out there, how do you know which is the best to get? Well, that's why I decided to put 3 up against each other to see which would taste the best, and these were my thoughts...

Schar: While the pieces are pretty small, they still have a great taste and texture. Sometimes when eating GF bread, it can have that grainy texture since it's usually made from different flours, but Schar had a great bread texture still. It also had a taste similar to white bread. Overall, I really liked this brand and would give it an 8/10.

Canyon Bakehouse: This brand was pretty much an exact replica in taste and texture to Schar. The size was a little different, but I really couldn't tell the difference in the taste and texture. I tried a piece from each back to back a few times to make sure that there really wasn't a difference. The biggest difference is the pricing. Canyon Bakehouse is about $1 more than Schar, but you get 15 slices of bread instead of 12, so it just depends on your personal preference. This brand also gets an 8/10.

Rudi's: I had higher hopes for this brand because the bread slices look the most like regular bread compared to other brands. So, naturally, you think that the taste will be similar. Negative. This brand was very dry, hard and difficult to swallow. It also had an off taste that I'm not really sure how to describe. I would give this brand a 6/10 because it will do if you need some GF bread, but definitely not the best.

For the first time we have a tie between Schar and Canyon Bakehouse. Like I said, both very tasty, just have that price and quantity difference. You can't go wrong with either though!
